Mitchell has worked in production and location management for over twenty years. Over that time, MPG has become a comprehensive consultation, location management, and permit service.
He has produced several independent feature films, including the psychological drama The Immaculate Room, Costa Rican indie darling Aqui Y Ahora, and the global documentary Kings of Beer. He has also worked as a Location Manager on the television shows The Stand, Into the Dark, and Con Man, dozens of feature films including Bitconned, The Mandela Effect, Nostalgia, and Paint It Black, and music videos such as Jack Harlow’s First Class, Extreme’s RISE, Cardi B’s Bartier Cardi, and Nas’ Cops Shot the Kid.
A dual citizen of the United States and Canada, Mitchell holds a BA in English from UC Berkeley and an MFA in Film from Columbia University. He is a member of the Directors Guild of Canada (British Columbia) as well as the Teamsters Local 399 (Los Angeles) as a Location Manager.

Derek Tramont was a part of the film program at Five Towns College in Long Island, where he excelled in producing and directing. Following in the footsteps of the greats, he left after two years to pursue producing short films and music full time.
Let’s get real, I’m writing this bio myself, so let’s proceed. If I wasn’t a halfway decent scout, I wouldn’t be here. SO yes, I fancy myself a location manager, production consultant, part time producer and business owner. I run the physical production side of things and the layout company, entitled Miracle Mats.
I know what you’re looking for and what you’re thinking - but whats he done? I started with The OA Part II and Barry and then did a stint with Blumhouse for about two whole years before I had to take a forced leave for a workaholic diagnosis. But that was back in 2018 - 2020. More recently, I did the LA unit for a couple of small indies called Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and Succession S4. Also lucked into being the Location Manager for Last Week Tonight with John Oliver.
Some of the projects Mitchell and I have done together include Fall, Do Revenge, Thelma and a whole slew of new titles dropping this year. If you still don’t believe me, check my IMDB below, I promise it’s all true. Regarding my personal life, I love tennis, going to fancy restaurants and seeing movies alone at Universal City Walk.
